Our Free Skills and Training Review
Voodou Training’s management team offer salons a free Skills and Training Review for their organisation, to help maximise all their staff to achieve our Super Stylist status.
What is a Super Stylist? To have all staff achieve Super Stylist status; means they are trained up to levels 2 and 3 in both hairdressing and barbering. For a salon this maximises staff productivity and efficiency. More information or enquire about our Hairdresser and Barber Training.
What is a Hairdressing or Barbering Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship in hairdressing or barbering is training that is provided for young people already working in a salon full or part time.
It enables salon owners to gain more qualified staff whilst the apprentices are still working for them – thus not impacting on the economy of the salon in the short term, but providing the opportunity to up skill any existing staff with a view to improving long term revenues and profitability. For most apprenticeships, FULL funding is available.
Intermediate and advanced apprenticeships will be fully funded for employees aged 16 – 24 and are in paid employment for at least 16 hours per week. Student loans are available for apprentices aged 24+
Benefits of Voodou Training
Your staff will be trained in the practical aspects of the qualifications by experienced Voodou staff, who have worked in the industry for many years. All hold the Wella Master Colour Expert award, are Super Stylists themselves (i.e. fully trained in both barbering and hairdressing) or still run a column in salon today.
They will be taught in salon, which gives them experience in the working environment and will be mentored and nurtured to achieve their potential as stylists. The salon background of the trainers, as well as the salon environment, means that apprentices will also be given a solid commercial grounding. The theory aspect of the apprenticeships will be taught by Total People, one of Liverpool’s most recognised training providers.
You can receive a business grant of £1,500 for up to the first ten apprentices you employ – which will be payable after 16 weeks of employment.
